LED lights were coined as the best kind of lighting system. However, purchasing this from the store can cost an arm and a leg as they are generally more expensive than the average lamps. But with a few modifications, you can transform your old lamp to a LED one. You just need to purchase a LED bulb, do the following steps and you are good to go:
Step 1: First, you need to plan the circuit that you are going to follow. If you have no idea how it should work, search for some diagrams online and closely follow it. You can find a lot of proposed diagrams when you google for it. Search for the materials you are going to need. Most of what you need are found in a flashlight so if you have an old flashlight at home, you might want to use the parts such as the switch and battery holder. Also purchase the other essentials such as the battery, the LED bulb and the wires.

Step 2: Now arrange the circuit to the plan you have downloaded. Use the wires to connect the bulbs. If you use a parallel circuit, this should be easier to follow. Test the connection first by attaching the batteries. If it lights up, it is now working well. When you have already made sure that it is working, solder the circuits and then let it cool down before mounting it on the lamp case. You should also place the battery holder where you can have easier access so you can change it any time you want.
Step 3: Now inspect the makeshift lamp you made. Try for an hour to see if it really works. If you want a brightness controller installed in your lamp, you can always place a potentiometer in the circuit. Plan the circuit arrangement first before doing this.
Now you have a LED lamp you can use anytime. This is a great battery saver as it only gobbles up less energy. This means that you won’t have to change the battery as often as you did with other types of lamps. Also, LEDs do not use filaments so they do not burn and thus prolonging the life of the lamp. Instead of buying one, why not try the steps mentioned above and make your very own light? You can have a more efficient lighting in your room without spending much.

Едно бързо видео сравнение между 120-херцовия Samsung 2233RZ LCD монитор и CRT екран също работещ със 120 Hz честота на опресняване. Тестовата игра е CS Source (Counter Strike Source), а не първия CS, защото за разлика от него Source-а може да се възползва от 120-те херца, докато нормалния Counter Strike е ограничен до 100 кадъра в секунда. В опциите на играта е активиран v-sync, за да се избегне възможността от “разкъсване” на образа в кадрите, който обикновено може да бъде забелязан при наличието на различаващ се брой кадри, обработвани от видеокартата спрямо честотата на опресняване. За да може да видите разликата е препоръчително да гледате видеото в HD версия и да използвате бутона за пауза в ключови моменти при бързо движение на обектите върху екрана. Резултатите от двата монитора са почти идентични, тоест 120-херцовото LCD се представя не по-лошо от CRT екран, но идва с някои важни предимства подобрена яркост, контраст, цветово възпроизвеждане и т.н. Малко по-късно ще публикувам и стоп кадри с пълната Full HD резолюция на видеото за по-детайлно сравнение на резултатите, като единствената разлика е наличието на съвсем малко по-висок input lag при LCD-то, което не е неочаквано.
